Stay true to yourself!

Have you heard these statements before? They sound great, don't they? More than just slogans, we can sometimes hear people we know or people we follow on social media make these statements: From now on I will live authentically, trust my purpose and stay true to myself. Maybe you've even made these statements yourself. 

I have tried, but I failed every time. Here's why:

To live authentically requires me to know who I am underneath all the layers of self that I have put on over the course of my life, for protection, to be more liked, and a myriad other reasons.

If I am to get very practical about trusting my soul's purpose, I need to have some way of knowing enough about it to act or not act or at the very least know the difference between my soul's purpose, my hopes and wishes, and my anxiety ridden thoughts.

To stay true to myself I am required to know who I am. How can I possibly lay claim to this when some of the greatest spiritual minds to have ever lived could not answer this question?

If this sounds familiar to you, I have good news. There are ways to live authentically, trust your soul's purpose and stay true to yourself without having all the answers. After more than two decades of searching, I have found a way to do this.

If I am being fully honest, it is a work in progress and I expect to be doing this work all my life. Like writing, throwing a ball, and keeping the body and mind flexible, it takes constant practice. Yet whereas in the beginning I was flailing and failing, now I know how to take the next step, and the next step, and with every year it's getting better and life becomes more beautiful.

The solution lies in ceremony.

In the course Journey to Your Essence we unwrap ourselves from layer upon layer of who we have come to know that we are in preparation of a great ceremony. The ceremony is a spiraling journey into the Infinite Cave of Stars, wherein lies your essence, shining like a star floating above clear waters. In this cave you get to meet the mystery of who you are at your core.

At the end of the ceremony we carry the light of our essence with us as we spiral back out of the cave and then learn the ways in which we can work with it to better live authentically, with trust in our soul's purpose and in accordance to our truth.
