From Cosmic Dust to Conscious Being: A New Year's Reflection on Who We Are
Dec 31, 2025
When we leap into the unknown, we remember we are free.
How many unknowns do you face in a single day?
Sometimes it begins with something as simple as a dare—a dare to do things differently. Have you ever dared to think differently? Do we not often define ourselves by the way we think?
I am. Am I not?
If you have ever experienced initiation—and we all do in life, whether known to us or not—then you know who you are now is not who you were. We change with every breath, yet strangely, we cling to core beliefs about ourselves.
What are we, if not an ever-changing flow of energy?
Pieces of the universe come together to form a whole. For a time, it has consciousness, before it falls apart—and in falling, becomes part of another whole.
What are we humans? Perhaps we are wondrous ants to some distant creatures, looking down upon us, unaware of another anthill on the far side of the ocean called space.
As winter approaches, and the longest nights of the year unfold, an invitation drifts to your doorstep, light as a feather. The world readies itself to be made anew. Barren lands prepare to bloom once more—a celebration of the dance between cosmic forces and earthly elements. We are part of this. And so, we may choose to remake ourselves.
What is your dream of becoming?
What is your vision for yourself?
Do you dare to surrender to it?
To live authentically is not something we do. It is something that happens when we stop trying.
"If it is our mind that can invent gods, and if from them flows such power, why cannot we apply that power directly?"
